Are you great with customer service? The salon Cosmetologist + Barber have very important roles at the moment greeting guests to the daily operations of the business.
This position is perfect for those interested launching their career, or career relocation.
Slow hire, 0-90 day trial period- can keep other location or part-time job and encouraged
REQUIRED:
Minimum 15 hours up to 25 hours a week, depending on availability and flexibility
- Week daytime only, prefer 9am-3pm, preferably Tues, Wed, Thurs/Fri. Very limited evenings, and weekends.
- Must work weekday and daytime hours to be able to add-on 1-2 evenings
- Must work weekday and daytime hours to add-on 1-3 Saturdays a month. Ideal 8am-2pm.

REQUIREMENT (Day 1):
- Must have graduated from Barber or Cosmetology school in Washington, passed state boards and waiting on pending license to be issued.
OR
- If relocation, out of state application must be pending with Cosmetology/Barber licensing at time of job acceptance
OR
- Current/Active WA State Cosmetology or Barbering license to start right away.

ABOUT ASSISTING OPPURTUNITY
MINIMUM SCHEDULE:
- Short-term commitment 1-3 weeks . Temporary
- Minimum 10 hours up to 15 hours a week, depending on availability and flexibility.
- PASSED state boards written and practical exams. Professional license application received pending approval, 5 hr minimum Internship up to 20 hours a week.
- Limited weekends-add-on Sat 9am-2pm option plus atleast 2 weekday Tue-Fri daytime shifts
COMMITTMENT REQUIREMENT:
- Weekday only, prefer 9am-2pm, preferably Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri. Very limited evenings, and weekends.
- 1-2 Saturdays daytime, +/or limited evenings 1-2 a week. These optional add-on only to weekday daytime hours. Not required. No weekend only offered.
ENGAGING EXPECTATIONS:
- Professionalism, this is education + business
- Flexible changing/ on-call preferred
- Weekly commitments, agreed schedule
- 48 hour notice for schedule changes preferred
- 3 weeks notice of days requested off, or time of agreed externship
- On-time, stay for entire shift
- Start time is not show up time, be 15-30 min early.
- Guest experience a priority
- Professional Education and Salon/Barber workplace.
- Limited phone use on breaks only. Please tuck them away during education hours. If a break is needed, please take a break. These hours are not school hours.
- Serious career in the Salon or Barber industry, not just externship hours
- If minimums are met, option to 0-60 day contract for short-term part-time employment may be offered.

- Learn high-lift 11/12 series tinting with color 30/40vol
